Chuck Wait is a PGTAA professional golf teacher who has golfed all his life since childhood. He is a Class A certified teaching professional uses PGA teaching methods he learned during his certification process with the PGTAA. He has a single digit handicap and keeps current with all the PGA teaching methods by reading the PGA teaching manual, The art and science of golf instruction. He practices these learned skills on courses and driving ranges at least three time a week during the summer months in Minnesota.
Successful golf requires more than a good swing. One cannot overlook the importance of a physically sound body, properly fitted equipment, a solid short game, and the ability to adapt to unusual or special conditions. Yet, considering all of the above, one of the most critical factors in determining golf success is still left unmentioned. Successful golf required control of your mind and your emotions – successful golf requires psychological strength as golf is a mental game too.
There is no better feeling than when a shot comes off exactly as you planned it. In order for that to happen consistently, though, you must commit totally to the shot you’re trying to hit and trust yours swing to deliver it. One without the other is a recipe for disaster.

Coaching involves being patience and offering encouragement as the student deals with their new methods of swinging the golf club. If several changes must be made Chuck works on one change at a time so consistent ball striking can be achieved. He never expects to accomplish too much but allows the student to learn at their own pace.
